World Order Lab held a Virtual Introductory Courtesy Meeting with the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP) on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to formally introduce the youth think-tank and exchange perspectives with the CICP team. As World Order Lab’s first courtesy meeting with a prominent think-tank in Cambodia, the occasion held particular significance for the organization and marked an important milestone in strengthening engagement with key research and policy institutions across Cambodia and Southeast Asia.

The CICP virtual delegation was led by Executive Director Mr. Vora Huy Kanthoul, accompanied by Deputy Executive Director Ms. Neth Chantha, Project Director Ms. Say Puthy, Senior Fellow Dr. Vannak Ro, and Administrator Mr. Chhorn Sotheara.

Meanwhile, Senior Partnership Associate & Cambodia Liaison Officer Yutathavy Chhoeun led the World Order Lab virtual delegation, accompanied by Executive Director Muhammad Izzuddin Al Haq, Program Manager & Chair of G-2 Affairs Working Group Geo Arshali, Lead Analyst Katherine Viella Irwanto, Senior Communications Associate Alfath Aziz Kurnia, as well as Analyst (Southeast Asia Desk) & Chair of Climate Action Working Group Muhamad Ferdy Firmansyah.

The meeting featured a constructive and candid exchange on Cambodia’s foreign policy, ASEAN centrality, Mekong regional cooperation, and the evolving regional security environment. Discussions explored Cambodia’s approach to navigating a changing regional order and intensifying great-power competition, with emphasis on national interests, non-alignment, multilateralism, and strategic hedging. CICP also shared perspectives on Cambodia’s historical experience during the Cold War and the importance of maintaining flexibility in its foreign-policy choices amid a changing international order.
