Frequently Asked Questions

Why do World Order Lab members use different email domains?

World Order Lab members may use different official email addresses depending on their role, location, or organizational function. These variations reflect our distributed structure and operational arrangements and do not indicate separate organizations or affiliations. For security reasons, if you are unsure about the authenticity of an email or communication, please verify it through our official channels.

How can I join World Order Lab?

World Order Lab is continuously expanding its network and opens applications twice a year: from mid-August to late September for the October cohort, and from mid-February to late March for the April cohort. Appointments are generally for six months, while leadership positions are for 12 months. Unfortunately, all positions at World Order Lab are currently unpaid and voluntary. Interested applicants may apply through the designated application form, while only applicants for selected positions may be invited for an interview. Successful applicants are required to pay a USD 10 membership fee (or local-currency equivalent) for 12 months period, which includes benefits such as an organizational email address, website profile, business card, and other official organizational materials.

What are the eligibility requirements to join World Order Lab?

World Order Lab is primarily open to nationals of Southeast Asian countries, ASEAN Dialogue, Sectoral Dialogue, and Development Partners countries, generally aged 30 or under who consider themselves part of the youth community. Exceptions may be considered for specific positions or circumstances, including applicants up to 35 years old, as has been done in previous recruitment cycles.

I’m an individual or organization interested in a topic related to World Order Lab. Can I propose an event or participate as a speaker, panelist, or moderator?

For organization, World Order Lab welcomes partnership and co-organizing opportunities with universities, think-tanks, youth organizations, and other institutions. We have previously collaborated on webinars, lectures, workshops, and other programs. Organizations interested in proposing an event or partnership are encouraged to contact our representative listed above. We also welcome proposals from individuals without institutional affiliations who have relevant expertise or ideas.
