World Order Lab’s Senior Program Associate (Partnership) & Deputy Chair of Women Empowerment Working Group Yutathavy Chhoeun participated in the Multilateral Trade Forum 2026 “Recalibrating Small State’s Strategy amidst Global Trade Disorder,” held on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Co-organized by Trade Policy Advisory Board of Cambodia, Economic Society of Cambodia, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia, the forum convened policymakers, economists, private sector leaders, and development partners to examine how small states like Cambodia can navigate an increasingly fragmented and uncertain global trade landscape.

Against the backdrop of weakening multilateral frameworks and rising geo-economic tensions, discussions focused on Cambodia’s transition from Least Developed Country (LDC) status, the erosion of preferential trade schemes, and the urgent need to recalibrate national trade strategies toward resilience, diversification, and competitiveness.

What are Vy's key takeaways and observations from the event?
