Recognizing the growing importance of creating safe, inclusive, and respectful spaces for young people, World Order Lab, under its Women Empowerment Working Group, is organizing a workshop entitled “Art, Gender Safety, and Youth Advocacy: Creative Approaches to Addressing Sexual Violence and Harassment.” This session is designed to introduce participants to key issues surrounding gender safety, sexual violence, and harassment, while exploring how art and creative practice can serve as tools for advocacy, awareness-raising, and social change.

    • 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM (London/Dublin/Lisbon time - BST)

    • 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (Jakarta/Bangkok/Hanoi time - GMT+7)

    • 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM (Philippines/Singapore/Malaysia time - GMT+8)

  • Venue: Online via Zoom Meeting

We are pleased to have Ally Zlatar, Founder & Director of The Starving Artist, as our Guest Speaker, who will lead the workshop and share her insights on gender safety, sexual violence and harassment, and the role of art and creative practice as tools for advocacy, awareness-raising, healing, and social change. The workshop will combine her insights with an interactive discussion in which World Order Lab’s Members will examine realistic scenarios related to gender safety and harassment, fostering critical reflection and practical understanding of these issues among youth participants.

The session will be hosted by Sely Astuti, Lead Creative & Chair of Women Empowerment Working Group at World Order Lab. It will be conducted in English and is open to World Order Lab members and the general public.
