World Order Lab Participates in the SEA Women’s Leadership Conference 2025: Women, Peace and Security
World Order Lab’s Program Associate (Malaysia) Wan Raihana Madihah Wan Ahmad Zakry attended the SEA Women’s Leadership Conference 2025: Women, Peace and Security (SEAWLC 2025), organized by Polity Malaysia, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The event focused on strengthening women’s leadership in shaping peace and security across ASEAN, with discussions highlighting the need to advance economic security through the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
Women were recognized as agents of change: educators, advocates, and partners in peacebuilding, whose empowerment reinforces the foundations of regional security. Investing in women’s institutions, creating opportunities, and embracing feminine leadership as a source of empathy and dialogue were emphasized as essential for achieving a more secure and resilient Southeast Asia.
World Order Lab extends its appreciation to Polity Malaysia and all speakers for convening this timely discussion on women’s leadership, peace, and security across ASEAN. We value initiatives that advance the Women, Peace and Security agenda, strengthen women’s participation in peacebuilding and decision-making, and create greater opportunities for meaningful engagement on building a more secure, inclusive, and resilient Southeast Asia.
