World Order Lab’s Program Manager & Interim Chair of Anti-Corruption Working Group Geo Arshali participated in the Model United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Youth Conference of the States Parties (COSP) Capacity-Building Workshop held at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria, on March 25 - 26, 2026.
Organized and funded by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) under its Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) Initiative, the program brought together selected youth from over 130 countries through a highly competitive global selection process.
The workshop focused on advancing participants’ understanding of corruption and the growing role of emerging technologies and AI in reinforcing anti-corruption efforts, through structured sessions, simulations, and collaborative discussions.
What are Geo's key takeaways and observations from the event?
"I found the workshop really useful for getting a better sense of global anti-corruption practices and the UNCAC framework, while also looking at how AI and emerging technologies are changing the fight against corruption. What stood out most was the hands-on multilateral negotiation and decision-making practice, which gave us a real feel for how states balance different interests and find common ground." --- Geo Arshali, Program Manager & Interim Chair of Anti-Corruption Working Group
