World Order Lab Participates in the ASEAN Youth Leadership Conference 2025
World Order Lab’s Program Associate Nur Syazwina Ismahadi and Analyst Ilham Amierah Zulfikri attended the ASEAN Youth Leadership Conference (AYLC) 2025 "Next-Gen Leadership: Leading with Inclusivity & Sustainability," organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia, on October 17-18, 2025.
When given the proper support, space, and guidance, youth have enormous potential. Skills training, education, and teamwork are the tools to empowerment in the holistic development of youth across the region. Today’s students still grapple with the same problems, real problems — mental health issues, digital fatigue, and an uncertain future — but what remains true is that empathy, courage, and curiosity are all archetypes of effective leadership. Drive, passion, and empathy can make something as simple as an idea a difference to the community. Leadership has nothing to do with titles or authority, but everything to do with initiative, relationships, and impact, whether we feel the impact was there or not.
World Order Lab extends its appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia and all speakers and participants for convening this timely conference on the next generation of leadership in Southeast Asia. We value initiatives that empower young people through education, skills development, collaboration, and inclusive leadership, while creating greater opportunities for youth to turn their ideas, initiative, and empathy into meaningful contributions to their communities and the wider region.
