World Order Lab Participates in the ASEAN Youth Economic Forum 2026
World Order Lab’s Analyst Ronan Timothy Asturias participated in the ASEAN Youth Economic Forum (AYEF) 2026 on February 10-11, 2026, under the theme “Building Resilient Futures: Youth-Driven Innovations for ASEAN-Japan SME Growth Manila, the Philippines.”
The AYEF opened its first day by spotlighting the pivotal role of youth in shaping the region’s future workforce and strengthening the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Discussions underscored how empowering the younger generation and supporting MSMEs remain central to enhancing ASEAN’s economic resilience and competitiveness.
The forum also featured diplomatic community and government officials from Japan, who highlighted the importance of Philippines–Japan bilateral relations in advancing economic cooperation and infrastructure development. Complementing these discussions, youth entrepreneurs from across ASEAN and Japan shared insights on innovation and enterprise, demonstrating how the next generation of business leaders is redefining regional economic engagement and global partnerships.
World Order Lab extends its appreciation to the organizers for convening the ASEAN Youth Economic Forum 2026. We value initiatives that empower young people to contribute to ASEAN’s economic development, strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of MSMEs, and foster innovation and entrepreneurship, while creating greater opportunities for youth across ASEAN and Japan to engage in economic cooperation and shape the region’s future.
